| Welcome to our website which outlines the services and support that the Northumberland County Blind Association (NCBA) and Northumberland County Council Social Services Directorate can provide for visually impaired people (VIPs). The Northumberland County Blind Association (NCBA) is your local voluntary association working for VIPs throughout Northumberland.
Our purpose-built Resource Centre is home to a wide range of services and facilities based in one accessible location. The services include social rehabilitation; clubs and support groups; voluntary home visiting and an information and advice service. The facilities include a fully equipped training kitchen with talking equipment, a large display of daily living equipment, talking and speech driven computers and also equipment for producing information in braille, large print and on tape. These services and facilities are free and open to anyone with a visual impairment.
You can telephone, write or call in for more information. The Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday, between 9am - 5pm, but we advise you to telephone in advance if you are planning to visit.
